Rockstar Games has recently confirmed on a blog post that very soon they will be releasing mobile version of popular Max Payne video games. It is to be noted that Rockstar Games is pretty much famous for creating another popular video games called Grand Theft Auto.

Rockstar not only explicitly mentioned the popular iOS and Android platform for their mobile version of Max Payne but also pointed at the dates when it would be available. For iOS devices it will go live on April 12th and two weeks later April 26th for Android devices.
Max Payne GameEven though Rockstar didn’t disclose the full list of possible supported Android devices but they already assured us that most of the iOS mobile devices will be within their list, it includes iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPod Touch 4, iPad 1st Gen, iPad 2 and the new iPad. However, they are expecting to disclose the list of all supported Android devices on coming weeks.

After the initial success on the release of Grand Theft Auto III for iOS and very few selected and Android device, it seems like Rockstar is working really hard to bring the classic Max Payne experience on mobile devices, which they claims to be highly optimized only for mobile platforms. Support for HD graphics, high-resolution textures, Social Club connectivity and user-customizable controls are also going to be there for even greater gaming experience.

Now, if you are not quite clear with Rockstar’s “Social Club” concept, this is what you should know. “Social Club is our members-only community and destination for players to extend and enhance their game experience by unlocking exclusive game content, participating in live multiplayer events and special prize giveaways, tracking and comparing their game progress and stats with friends, competing on leaderboards, and much, much more. Simply register a membership account, link your game data, then compare and compete with friends, foes and millions of other connected players online.” – states Rockstar’s Social Club web site.
