Asus just released their latest all-in-one desktop PC called Transformer AiO. This is a kind of PC which you can use as your desktop PC or as a large Android 4.1 OS based tablet device. The fundamental concept behind this device is using a tablet PC or using its display with regular computer configuration. It is as if two different device has been attached together but sharing the same screen.
The desktop version is powered by a third generation Intel Core i5 processor with 8GB DDR3 Ram. You would also have a massive 1TB SATA hard drive for data storage. Just like a regular all-in-one PC you would have both the Wi-Fi connectivity along with a gigabit Ethernet connection. And yes, you would have the HDMI-out port in case if you want to use a different Monitor with the desktop PC.
The tablet version features an NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor which is running on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean Operating System. NVIDIA GeForce GT 730M (2GB) graphics engine is also there to power this 18.4-inch LED Backlit IPS multi-touch display. Now in case if you don’t know, this is one of the largest android based tablet devices available on the market as of today. With the resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, this is also pretty good size even for a traditional desktop PC. On board storage capacity is 32GB with 2GB of RR3 RAM. A 1MP front facing is also there for video conferencing needs. Besides all these, you would see a microSD card slot for even higher storage needs. The battery of this tablet device can sustain up to 5 hours of usage which is pretty good for such a large tablet device.
Asus always been creative with their products and this device is not any different from that category. However, the question would remain that how exactly the consumer would response to their latest innovation. Perhaps, it’s only the time that might give our answer but until then we must wait.
