Apple just confirmed that their long expected new iPad (3rd Gen.) will hit the retail & online store on Friday. It would be available in the United States, Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, Switzerland and the UK; along with Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands at the same day (March 16). If you are eagerly waiting for the new iPad and living any one of those countries, get ready and visit the store before 8a.m (local time).
As we mentioned earlier on our post, Apple is focusing highly on the Graphics and visual performance of their new iPad, which they defines as “Resolutionary” device. New iPad will feature retina display along with their brand new A5X chip, which is also powered by quad-core graphics engine. A built in 5 megapixel iSight camera will all be there just like it’s predecessor. Of course you will have a rear camera which will let you record 1080p videos and take stunning pictures. Regardless the powerful A5X chip, you will still enjoy 10 hours of battery life. The new iPad will also introduce the support for 4G data connection capability. However, you still can use the 3G connection if 4G is not available.
Apple promises to offer free Personal Setup service which will help you to customize your iPad the way you want, if you buy a new iPad from it’s retail store. In the US the new iPad will also be available at Best Buy, Radio Shack, Sam’s Club, Target and Walmart.
As you already know, just like before the new iPad would be available in Black and White. For the basic 16 GB Wi-Fi model would be available for $499, 32GB for $599 and 64GB model for $699. However, you also have the option to buy the Wi-Fi + 4G model just by adding $130 extra with the base price.
