I don’t know about the person who bought Apple’s MacBook Pro with Retina display last week, but if you are one of those guys who always wanted to buy these new MacBook Pro but didn’t dare to buy one because of its price tag, it is the time for you to get one.
Apple just dropped the price for its latest MacBook Pro with Retina display product line. Today on a press release, Apple has confirmed the availability of their new MacBook Pro with Retina display. Apple not only slashed the price but also updated the processors on these laptops.
From today, the 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro’s starting price would be $1,399 which will feature a 2.5 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with a 128 GB of flash storage. However, you would have the option to upgrade the processor from 2.5 GHz to 2.9 GHz just by adding $179 extra. You would also have the option to upgrade your flash storage to 256GB, 512GB or 768GB as well.
The new 13-inch Retina MacBook Pro with 2.6 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 processor with default 256GB storage will cost you $1,599 even though the press release shows this specific model to be $1,699. I personally checked the price from Apple’s web site and it showed $1,599. However, on this specific model you can upgrade your processor from 2.6 GHz Core i5 to 3.0 GHz Core i7 processor but just like the older model you have to spend $179 extra to make such addition.
The 15-ich Model has got the new Intel Quad-Core i7 processors starting at 2.4GHZ clock speed. Initial memory would be 8GB DDR3 with 1600MHz bus speed and a 256GB flash storage has also been added as default storage. This startup model of 15-inch Retina MacBook would be whooping $1,999.
In addition to the MacBook Pros, Apple today also announced that the 13-inch MacBook Air with 256GB of flash has a new lower price of $1,399.
