Anonymous Hackers Invades Over 500 Chinese Government Websites

If you are following the recent developments of world known hacktivist group Anonymous’s activities, it would be crystal clear to you that why they are keep coming back in many different parts of the world and defacing Governments websites.

Hacking against Government web sites has become a ritual for the hackers. Whether you talk about American or even Indian, hacker’s target is government owned web sites. It’s just because they want the attention of the Governments and send a message.

In recent days, Chinese wing of the Anonymous group which goes with the twitter nick @AnonymousChina, has increased its attack against Chinese Government’s website.

Anonymous China LogoIn a tweet @AnonymousChina has confirmed that they have hacked over 500 web sites which are owned by Chines Government, Agencies and Businesses. The hacker group also made a list of web sites which they claim has hacked and made it available for every one from Pastebin.

“In the defaces and leaks in this day, we demonstrate our revolt to the Chinese system. It has to stop! We aren’t asking you for nothing, just saying to protest, to revolt yourself, to be the free person you always want to be,” a message on Pastebin backed up with a Chinese-language translation.

Interesting enough, couple of days back they have hacked another website and also retrieved thousands of its users Phone, Fax number and also email addresses from it’s database. List of all these information are also available from Pastebin.

A spokesman from Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Hong Lei said that “China’s Internet is open to all, users enjoy total freedom online. China has gained 500 million netizens and 300 million bloggers in a very short period of time, which shows the attraction and openness of China’s Internet,” in a recent press briefing.
