“2012″ was a great movie and it’s true that it has influenced people around the world more or less. Or should I say, it scare the hell out of many people. But aren’t we glad that all those myth, chaos turned out to be false? Nothing really happened!? Now here we are in 2013 and everything seems going pretty smoothly. Perhaps, may be it is time to check out some upcoming new movies which are going to be released in 2013.
It seems like whole bunch of movies are coming and a big chunk of them going to be action packed. Let’s digg it.
There are 7 movies I am eagerly waiting to watch which are going to be in cinemas next year. Of course some of them are with familiar stories that we used to hear and read and watch all these years. But still these stories does manage to excite us with more realistic visuals and unpredictable twists.
So lets enjoy 7 new movies in which some depicts the next doomsday or Armageddon or apocalypse or whatever you call it, or…. the world after it. But only trailers for now.
1. A Good Day to Die Hard
John McClane travels to Russia to help his son, Jack who has trapped by a gang of terrorists who are going to break up the stability of the free world.
The journey begins on February 7, 2013 in IMAX theatres and on February 14, 2013 worldwide.
2. G.I. Joe: Retaliation
G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra was just a start. G.I. Joe 2 is getting more thrilling with more action. Bruce Willis and Dwayne Johnson are joining as General Joseph Colton and Roadblock respectively with other Joes.
The retaliation begins on March 29, 2013.
Tom Cruise is as Commander Jack Harper in science-fiction movie Oblivion. He is one of the last remaining human on Earth and also repairmen of the drones which protect the planet from the aliens by patrolling the skies.
The film will be released exclusively in IMAX on April 12, 2013, then on April 19 world wide conventionally.
4. Iron Man 3
After saving the world with other Avengers Tony Stark is now going face a powerful enemy, the Mandarin. Along the way, he discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: “Does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?”
Iron Man 3 will fly over cinema halls on April 25 internationally and then on May 3, 2013 in United States in IMAX.
5. After Earth
After Earth, also known as 1000 A.E., is a science-fiction thriller starring Will Smith as General Cypher Raige and his son Jaden Smith as Kitai Raige. The event occurs after 1000 years of cataclysmic events forced humanity’s escape to mankind’s new home Nova Prime. Teenager Kitai Raige and his legendary father Cypher crash landed on unfamiliar dangerous earth during the returning from an extended tour. They must have to face animal species which are now ruling the earth and alien creatures escaped during the crash landing, to find a way back to home.
The film is coming in cinemas on 7th June, 2013.
6. Man of Steel
The original Superman film series is rebooting here by portraying the origin of Superman. The film stars Henry Cavill as Clark Kent/Superman with Amy Adams as Lois Lane, and Michael Shannon as General Zod. The story has been developed by Christopher Nolan who is well known for The Dark Knight Triology, Inception and Memento, and David S. Goyer.
The film is scheduled to be released on June 14, 2013, in conventional, 3D and IMAX theatres.
7. World War Z
World War Z is a post-apocalyptic zombie horror movie starring Brad Pitt as Gerry Lane, a worker at the United Nations. He searches around the world for information that can stop the zombie outbreak, called as World War Z, to prevent social collapse.
The movie was about to release on December 21, 2012, but was pushed back to June 21, 2013 due to release of Jack Reacher on the same date and some additional filming.
