It almost seems like Apple is quite paranoid by the fact that every now and then new jailbreaking tools are popping up middle of nowhere and causing huge damage. Less than a week after releasing the iOS 6.1, Evad3ers released their first jailbreaking tool Evasi0n. Meanwhile Apple also released iOS 6.1.1 and 6.1.2 to patch up some of the hardware related issues but fails to stop Evasi0n.

Now, Apple is taking serious steps to fix those problems to stop Evasi0n from jailbreaking iOS devices. One of the security hole was on the operating system’s time zone settings

As part of their initiative to stop Evasi0n, last week Apple released a beta update of their upcoming iOS 6.1.3. David Wang, a man behind the Evasi0n has recently tested the patch and confirmed that the release of iOS 6.1.3 beta 2 would patch at least one of the five key bugs that jailbreak exploits.

Wang is still working on the beta update and trying to figure out which other flaws are being patched. But he predicts that most probably the final release of iOS 6.1.3 may bring Evasi0n to its end.

On a recent interview with Forbes, Wang said, “If one of the vulnerabilities doesn’t work, evasi0n doesn’t work,” he also added that “We could replace that part with a different vulnerability, but [Apple] will probably fix most if not all of the bugs we’ve used when 6.1.3 comes out.”
