First of all, from today Rim (Research In Motion) would be known as BlackBerry Limited or simply BlackBerry. BlackBerry CEO Thorsten Heins today announced that they are re-branding themselves from RIM to BlackBerry, as he states, “From this point forward — we are BlackBerry. One brand. One promise. Our customers use a BlackBerry, our employees work for BlackBerry, and our shareholders are owners of BlackBerry.”
BlackBerry Z10 SmartphoneToday the company also launched their first BlackBerry OS 10 based touch phone which is being called as BlackBerry Z10. As the market share of Apple’s iPhone, Windows Mobile 8 based Nokia Lumia and several Android based HTC smartphones are keep growing, BlackBerry had to come up with better idea than their several years old design and OS. Dramatic loss in market share and job cuts wasn’t even good enough for this company to survive in the ever changing mobile world.

Back in May 2012 Thorsten unveiled their latest operating system for their upcoming touch phones. A developer prototype of their Z10 was also given out to the BlackBerry developers community which was known as Dev Alpha A but later on BlackBerry also released their second prototype model of Z10 which is known was Dev Alpha B. Finally after lots of testing the actual product is out and it is gorgeous.
The operating system on this device is radically different than BlackBerry’s traditional one. However, several hardware reviews from well known sites like Engadget, Cnet reveals that this device is not without flaws. However, all of them were pretty hopeful that at some point BlackBerry might get the user’s attention if they can solve certain issues.

BlackBerry Z10 features a 4.2-inch display with impressive 356ppi which is good enough to playback and shot 1080p videos with its 8 megapixel rear camera. It is powered by a dual core 1.5Ghz mobile processor. With total of 2GB ram and 16GB of disk space Z10 is not least powerful smartphone. You can also expect Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth 4.0, NFC, LET etc.

One of the best thing about Z10 is that it has a removable back panel which will allow you to change the battery of this device whenever you want. You can also add additional memory card to expand the disk space if you think 16GB is not quite good enough. Last but not least, Z10 will be available in mid-March in black and white color at a cost of $199.99 for U.S. customers.
