Apple to Release 128GB Version of Fourth Generation iPad
On a press release Apple just confirmed the availability of a newer version of fourth generation iPad with 128GB of total disk space. Just like other versions of fourth generation iPad, this version would also feature Retina display. This newer version would be available in both Wi-Fi only and Wi-Fi plus Cellular models.
If things goes according to the plan, this version would be first iPad ever with 128GB of total disk space. As we all know by now, 64GB version is the highest among all the iPad currently available in the Market in terms of the disk space. However, it seems like Apple is going to break their own record.
This new version of the fourth generation iPad will be available from Tuesday, February 5. Just like other versions, it would also be available in Black and White color. However, besides the disk space there won’t be any other major changes in terms of technical features. The 128 GB Wi-Fi only version would cost $799 and the Wi-Fi plus Cellular version would cost a massive $929 (US). You can purchase this new version of iPad from Apple’s online and retail stores along with authorized resellers.
Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller says, “With twice the storage capacity and an unparalleled selection of over 300,000 native iPad apps, enterprises, educators and artists have even more reasons to use iPad for all their business and personal needs.”
According to apple, almost all the Fortune 500 and 85 percent of the Global 500 business has already deployed or testing iPads and regularly handling large amounts of data on their devices which requires even more space on the iPads. Apple believes this new version would definitely benefit those enterprises if not for individuals.
