Today on a press release Apple has announced that their latest Desktop operating system OS X Mountain Lion has exceeded three millions of downloads from all over the world, within four days of its initial release. Even though OS X Lion was released last year from App store for only $29.99 but this time consumers will enjoy the upgraded OS X Mountain Lion for only $19.99. This upgrade option applies for the existing Snow Leopard and OS X Lion users.

Interesting enough that Apple is claiming this new OS to have over 200 innovative new features. However, it seems like Facebook integration is not available yet on OS X Mountain Lion but Apple confirmed that this functionality would be available soon through software updates. No specific date was mentioned.

Apple’s senior vice president of Worldwide Marketing, Philip Schiller states:

Just a year after the incredibly successful introduction of Lion, customers have downloaded Mountain Lion over three million times in just four days, making it our most successful release ever,

Users would be able to enjoy their new OS with even more added iOS functionalities which includes Messages, Notification Center, ystem-wide Sharing, Dictation, AirPlay Mirroring and Game Center etc. For all the new features on this OS, you can visit the OS X’s features page.
