TAA Compliant Keyboard and Mouse launched by Logitech
Today in a Press release, world known computer hardware manufacturer Logitech has confirmed that they just launched a Keyboard, two mouse and a Keyboard/Mouse combo which will be used by different United States Federal Agencies.
The Trade Agreements Act of 1979 which is popularly known as TAA, requires or permits federal agencies to buy various products from the United States and other countries. Among all the allowed products list computer peripherals are also included.
The Logitech K120-TAA spill-resistant keyboard for $19.99, B100-TAA optical mouse for $14.99, B120-TAA optical mouse with PS2 and UBS connector for $19.99 and Desktop MK120-TAA combo which includes a K120-TAA spill resistant keyboard and a B100-TAA for $34.99 are among the products list.
Unfortunately, these products are not available for individuals or other corporations, as they are exclusively made for Government agencies only. So, if you are thinking they must be very special and got some awesome feature then you are absolutely wrong. They are pretty much bare bone peripherals. They don’t even have the very basic dedicated multimedia shortcut key buttons.
However, one must admit that the spill resistant feature of the keyboard is something very interesting and unique. Thanks but no thanks, I am more than happy with my Apple keyboard. But definitely spill resistant feature is something that I really want to see on Apple Keyboards.
“Federal IT buyers and resellers who serve the federal market have been telling us for some time they want access to high-quality TAA-compliant computer peripherals from a brand name they trust,” said Vince Alvarado, director of Americas B2B sales and marketing at Logitech. “What’s more, Logitech’s deep manufacturing experience means we can quickly and reliably fill even the biggest orders for TAA-compliant products.”
